every house was worth over 10 million. The experience working for Stone Age with all the amazing materials and the 3 awesome houses we covered in stone was perfect. As a subcontractor it was a priceless experience.
Moving back to Hawaii I opened my business Natural Stone Creations. I quickly found myself again with the most discerning customers building their multimillion houses on the ocean and golf courses. At my peak I had 3 setters an 4 apprentice working for me.
With Wheeler I learned everything to build a house from the foundation to the roof. We did commercial remodels, custom homes, and repairs. At the peak of the boom we built whole neighbourhoods with standard single family homes, Town houses, and Duplexes. At the time I was the Foreman of the siding crew and began to set all the tile. After seeing the opportunity to make more money setting the tile. I started to work independently for Wheeler.
I worked for my closes friends family business. From on call 24-7 to running just the monthly maintenance,or emergency calls. We also did all the bottling, labelling, distribution, and logistics for a environmentally friendly drain treatment.
I apprenticed for two summers (88 & 89, 3 months twice) This was my start in setting natural stone and ceramic tiles. In 1999-2001 working as a tile setter.
